OUR PASTOR
Dr. Dwayne Cantrell is the founder and Senior Pastor of Living Victory Church. Dwayne was called into in the ministry over 15 years ago at Fremont Bible Fellowship (Now Family Bible Fellowship – Southern Baptist) under the leadership of Pastor Horacio Jones. While attending and completing seminary in Pasadena, California, Dwayne served as the Pastor of Ministry Development at Pasadena Church (Church of God) under the leadership of Pastors Kerwin and Madelyn Manning. After relocating to Bakersfield, CA with his family with the purpose of planting a church, during a time of transition, Dwayne served as an Associate Minister of leadership development at St. John Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Antonio Alfred.
Dwayne’s life mission is to equip, encourage, and empower people to have an impact on the world. He earned a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership from California State University, Northridge; a Doctor of Theology (Th.D.) from Summit Bible College; a Master’s Degree in Theology (M.Th.) from Fuller Theological Seminary; and a Master’s Degree in Education (M.Ed.) in Counseling and Pupil Personnel from San Jose State University.
Dwayne and his wife Angel have been married for over 20 years. By the grace of God, their marriage has survived many sins and challenges which should have resulted in divorce. However, their personal and shared testimonies of God’s grace to others have resulted in healing and deliverance of many individuals and couples throughout the years. Together, they have a passion to share the hope in Christ through the word of God by the power of the Holy Spirit. Dwayne and Angel have two adult children, Jared and Jada.

The Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men and the Divine and final authority for Christian faith and life.
There is one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross, a sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. Further, He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, where, at the right hand of the Majesty on High, He is now our High Priest and Advocate.
The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He indwells, seals, and baptizes every believer at the moment of salvation. He provides Christians with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. He gives every believer a spiritual gift when they are saved. As Christians, we seek to live under His control daily.
